One Year Ago Today...

…I was sitting in front of my computer writing my very first blog post! 

Yes, dear readers, today is my 1 year blog anniversary, or my “blog-a-versary” as I’m going to call it.  And what a year it is has been!  Towards the end of last year, I made a list of what all had happened in 2010, and one of those things was starting this blog.  I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing journey I have been on this year and how much I have loved sharing it with you. 

I started this blog at one of the darkest points in my life.  I was unemployed, with very few job prospects living at home with my parents.  I found happiness through cooking and developing my skills in the kitchen and through this blog.  Reading your comments, receiving your emails, and finding new friends has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I hope I can continue doing this for a long time. 

To celebrate my “blog-a-versary” thank you for all of your support through my unemployment, finding a job, my bouts of depression, buying my house, and all of my randomness, I have a giveaway for you!!

    I don't really have a favorite. I like them all. If I had to pick I'd say that one that brought your blog to my attention. It was the one that was mentioned in an ALA newsletter. I can't remember the name of the blog post but I know it was written during your job hunt.

    B&N IS the best... I've been thinking of doing something similar on my blog... but have to figure out why or for what... hmmm. Giving me stuff to think about :D

    Did you see I did the writing meme today? Mwuahahahhaa. Was fun to take a picture of a piece of paper. I could have scanned it in I suppose... *forehead smack*

    I've been inspired by your blogging, and I've thought about starting one myself. I do have things I want to share, but I am hesitant to do so. I just figure that anything I have to say is being said by someone else better than I can. Do you have any advice on that?

    I definitely love your blog and it inspired me to start my own ( though I am not as up-to-date as I should!) You have had an awesome year with your new job and you give me hope that I will get out of the "unemployed adventures" :) Hope this coming year is just as awesome and keep up the great work and yummy recipes!!!
